Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow

SBE began work on site in the summer of 2015. A new ward block at Northwick Park Hospital providing a state-of-the-art working environment for staff and an enhanced experience for patients. The modular unit, which was handed over in January, includes three specialist wards.

The new build wards included 15 isolation rooms on one of the 4 floors. An IPS/UPS system was installed on this floor due to the nature of the isolation rooms. All distribution equipment was fitted with auto-changeover units, and A/B circuits were installed in accordance with HTML to achieve diversity across the project.

ERB’s and specialist earthing was installed throughout the project, as well as medical trunking and specialist medical lighting fittings and controls. Like other projects we have completed, SBE designed and installed the lighting control layout in accordance with BREEAM.

SBE saw completion of Northwick Park Hospital in January 2016, with positive feedback from the main contractor.
